We travel to Dublin, stopping for refreshments en-route at a variety of hostelries depending on which way you approach the city. The coach will travel through the Docklands where you can view the Celtic Tiger triumphs, as well as the uncompleted projects. We will have the opportunity to take a panoramic city and coastal tour before your arrival at the Regency Hotel. A show or play can be arranged at an additional cost if you wish.
We visit the North side of the city today. Firstly we visit Croke Park and the GAA Museum, where you might have relatives, friends, and neighbours featuring in the exhibits. So do your homework before you come! In the afternoon we will visit Farmleigh House formerly owned by the Guinness family and set on seventy-eight acres in the Phoenix Park. The extensive Victorian and Edwardian gardens are a joy to experience.
The Southside & Wicklow
Today we travel along the N11 en-route to Glendalough, which is renowned for its monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by Saint Kevin. In the afternoon we will visit Russborough House and Gardens with its magnificent view of the Blessington Lakes and Wicklow Mountains. There is also an extensive guided tour of the House.
We hope to offer a city centre visit where the emphasis is on culture as well as shopping. We drop you off at Nassau Street for some free time. The Book of Kells, Trinity College, The National Art Gallery, The National Museum are all within a short walking distance. You could also plan to visit Dail Eireann if you have pre-arranged it with your local T.D. Later we bring you back home, after what we hope will be a memorable trip.
If you require a fifth day of your tour, this can be added. Please contact our team for more details.
