Day 1

Midleton, Cork, Bantry

Heading South we take a comfort stop or two before arriving at the Jameson Distillery in Midleton where you can take the tour and sample the produce. We move on then to the city by the Lee, Cork. Here we can see some of the sights such as the English Market, The Butter Museum, The City Gaol and listen for the Shandon Bells as you explore the city. Later we will be warmly welcomed at the well-known Westlodge Hotel, Bantry.

Day 2

Bantry and Beara

Today after a leisurely breakfast, we make the short journey to Glengariff where you can choose to visit Garnish Island with its Italian Garden and a wide range of exotic plants thriving in a micro climate. We then move on to Castletownbere, one of our more important working fishing ports. We complete the Ring of Beara with a visit to Allihies, the furthest village from Dublin.

Day 3

Gougane Barra, Bantry House, Bantry Town

We stay close to base today visiting first the renowned beauty spot that is Gougane Barra, the source of the River Lee. We come back towards Bantry, where we can visit Bantry House and Gardens set in the most spectacular location overlooking Bantry Bay. Following our time at Bantry House we will then explore the town itself and if you are lucky it might even be a Fair Day!

Day 4

With difficulty we will leave this beautiful corner of the country but we will stop off at the Michael Collins Museum in Clonakilty before visiting Kinsale, the Gourmet Capital, for some sustenance to get us home.
