Day 1

Wexford via Wicklow

We leave for Wexford hoping for the famous sunny weather. As we head south we will visit Mount Usher Gardens, “the Garden of Ireland”, laid out over 22 acres along the banks of the river Vartry . There are over 5,000 trees and shrubs, including Azaleas, Maples and Eucalyptus .We then travel on to our base, the Ferrycarrig Hotel.

Day 2

Wexford

Today we explore County Wexford commencing with a visit to the fishing port of Kilmore Quay and view the Saltee Islands. We include a visit to Hook Head with its iconic Lighthouse, the oldest intact working lighthouse in the world at 800 years old. We return to Wexford via the new Kennedy Visitor Centre at Dunganstown, the birth place of JFK’s grandfather Patrick, and we get to see the Dunbrody Famine Ship in New Ross.

Day 3

Waterford

We make the short journey to Ireland’s oldest city, Waterford. We will explore the city prior to venturing further into the county. The main attractions are the House of Waterford Glass, the Museum of Treasures and The Bishop’s Palace. After our time in the city we travel on to Tramore and along the Copper Coast to Dungarvan. Here there are many “Bridgestone” lunching opportunities. Try the famous “Blaa” with a cuppa.

Day 4

Wicklow & Home

We will browse the excellent retail opportunities of Wexford prior to departure. We can arrange to stop and visit Wicklow Gaol if you are brave enough! We will then return you to your selected drop off point.
