Departure
We leave from our pre-arranged pick up point on our luxury coach. You
will be accompanied by one of our experienced tour guides. We will enjoy
a morning break for tea / coffee and scones at the pleasantly situated
Woodford Dolmen Hotel in Carlow.

Waterford Crystal
The Mall, Waterford City has been home to Waterford Crystal since
2010. The House of Waterford Crystal includes a Visitor’s Centre and
Retail Outlet. The Factory Tour will give you an insight into the centuries
old tradition of Waterford Crystal making. You will, actually, feel the heat
of the furnace and marvel at the skill of the craftspeople. An exhibition
of sporting trophies and statement pieces will lead to an even greater
appreciation of the craft.

Waterford City
Waterford City has an interesting Viking, Medieval and Georgian past.
Close to the House of Waterford Crystal there are many historical buildings
to explore, including Reginald’s Tower, The Bishop’s Palace, Christ Church
Cathedral and Waterford Museum of Treasures. An imposing statue of
Thomas Francis Meagher stands guard over this area of the city. There
will be plenty of opportunities to browse, to shop and to dine while you
spend time in Ireland’s oldest city.

Evening Meal
We return to the Woodford Dolmen for our evening meal. Set in beautiful
gardens with oustanding views, the hotel is noted for its fine food
and impeccable service. Following our meal we will enjoy some lively
entertainment before heading back home.
