LessIn the late morning / early afternoon your coach will collect you from your school and transfer you to Dublin Airport.
Upon arrival at Dublin Airport your group will receive your boarding passes and check in any luggage.
Take off on your long haul flight to Delhi, flight time is between 14 and 20 hours depending on flight choices available.
Arrive in the Indian Capital of Delhi, enjoy a transfer to your hotel.
Upon arrival at your hotel enjoy a little rest and some lunch (at the groups expense).
In the early evening you will get the chance to visit the infamous India Gate and the Presidents House.
Breakfast will be served at the hotel, after which you will visit Humayum's Tomb the first garden tomb of India.
In the afternoon you will visit the UNESCO Heritage Site Qutub Minar the tallest minaret in India.
After a busy day of site seeing your group will be transferred back to the hotel for a night at leisure.
After breakfast depart Delhi for the pink city of Rajhastan in Jaipur.
After lunch (at the groups expense) you will visit Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds constructed in 1799, with a facade of 953 windows.
In the evening the group will get the chance to walk though the Old City of Jaipur for some shopping.
After breakfast at your hotel you will visit Amer Fort, where you might spot an Indian Elephant or two.
After your trip to Amer Fort enjoy a traditional Indian lunch served at the hotel. (lunch is at the groups expense)
In the early afternoon experience the magnificent interiors of the City Palace Museum located within the walls of Jaipur city.
After breakfast depart for Agra and en route visit Fatehpur Sikri.
After your morning visit continue to Agra where you will get lunch on the way (at the groups expense).
Spend the evening at leisure where the group can enjoy a spot of souvenir shopping.
Breakfast will be served at the hotel and once full you will visit Agra Fort, the first stop of the day.
In the afternoon you will get the once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the sensational Taj Mahal.
After a full day of exquisite site seeing take the evening to relax at the hotel.
In the morning enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before setting off for Delhi.
Reach Delhi by early afternoon and enjoy a delicious lunch at the hotel or en route.
In the evening take a leisurely stroll around Janpath Market to pick up some last minute souvenirs.
Enjoy your last taste of India by way of breakfast at the hotel.
Your coach will transfer you back to Delhi International for your flight home.
Upon landing in Dublin a coach will drop you back to your original destination.

August – October: High Twenties in August Decreasing to Low Twenties as you move towards October
November – February: Very like an Irish Summer varying between Twenty and Ten Degrees.

As of January the time difference is that Delhi is 05:30 hours ahead of Ireland.
In Spring in Ireland due to daylight savings we jump forward an hour. India doesn’t have day light savings so when this happens the time difference changes to 04:30 hours ahead.
The currency in India is Indian Rupees. The current exchange rate as of January 2020 is:

Banks in Ireland would have the most stable rates for exchanging currency.
We always recommend changing your money before you go to the airport. This reduces stress and any additional hassle.
Your local bank may not have Rupees in stock, they may have to order it or you might have to go to a larger branch.
India is a much more conservative society than Ireland. When travelling to another culture it is always important to respect traditions and cultural norms.
We would highly recommend that all people travelling ensure their shoulders and knees are covered at all time and where possible wearing long trousers.

As breakfast is the only meal included as part of the package we would recommend between €16 – €20 per day would be ideal.
Should your student wish to purchase souvenirs a little extra may be required.
Check with your doctor well in advance of travelling to see if you need any vaccinations for India. If you are travelling from a country with a risk of yellow fever or polio, you must have proof of vaccination or you will not be allowed to enter India. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Malaria and dengue fever are present in India so care should be taken to avoid mosquito bites by covering up and using mosquito repellents. There is prescribed medication, which you can take to prevent malaria that your doctor can advise you on. However, there is no medication which you can take to prevent Dengue fever. Therefore, due care should be exercised to avoid mosquito bites where possible to reduce the potential of infection.
