The counties of Devon and Cornwall encompass everything from genteel, cosy villages to vast Atlantic-facing strands of golden sand and wild expanses of granite moorland.
The winning combination of rural peace and first-class beaches lends the peninsula a particular appeal to outdoors enthusiasts, and the local galleries, museums and restaurants.
Please note: we cater to groups of 20 people and more travelling together. We do not take individual bookings.
LessRosslare to Plymouth
We sail from Rosslare to Pembroke and travel through South Wales alongside the Bristol Channel before crossing into South-West England near Bristol, once a major seaport. Our onward journey through Somerset takes us to our base in Plymouth, which was the last port of call for the Pilgrims during their historic voyage to America on board the Mayflower.
Paignton & Dartmouth
We begin our day in Paignton, which, along with Torquay and Brixham, makes up the so-called “English Riviera”. Then, we are all on board the Dartmouth Steam Railway for a trip between Paignton and Dartmouth, and afterwards we enjoy a relaxing cruise on the River Dart. In the afternoon, we return to Plymouth to rest or do some shopping.
Cornwall
After visiting the pretty fishing village of Looe and the botanical Eden Project, we move on to Truro and Newquay, with its beaches, shops and harbour, for the remainder of the day.
The Cornish coastline
Our route today takes us along the spectacular Cornish coastline, with its cliffs and coves, to Land’s End. If the tide is out, we can walk the causeway to St Michael’s Mount in Marazion. We complete the day with a visit to St. Ives, a lovely fishing village. Alternatively, we can go to Penzance, Cornwall’s most westerly major town.
Plymouth to Rosslare
With happy memories of our time in England, we journey back through southern Wales to Pembroke, enjoying a break or two, before boarding the ferry for Rosslare.
