Ballina

We head West at a leisurely pace, enjoying the countryside and stopping for a break en-route in Mullingar. We will continue our westward journey, where you will have the opportunity to visit Strokestown House and Gardens. Then, we travel to Claremorris where a warm welcome awaits you in the McWilliam Park Hotel.

Achill Island

We move from island to island today, beginning with a visit to Achill Island. We take the Atlantic Drive to Dooega, Cashel, Keel and Keem Bay returning via the Deserted Village. We travel on to Ballycroy National Park with its modern Visitor Centre where you will have some leisure time before we return to our hotel for your evening meal, followed by a lively entertainment.

Croagh Patrick & Connemara

Today we travel towards Croagh Patrick, Ireland’s pilgrimage mountain. You will experience the wilderness between Louisburgh and Leenane, the route of a disastrous famine walk. From Leenane, you can view Killary Harbour, the Fjord which forms the natural boundary between Mayo and Galway. We then move into Connemara visiting Kylemore Abbey and Clifden before returning to Ballina via Maam Cross.

Castlebar & Home

This is one of our more pleasurable homeward journeys as we stop off at the most interesting Museum of Country Life in Castlebar. Mullingar will be a further stop for shopping and refreshments.
